Chet Childress might very well be the most straight up, real person that we have ever come in contact with. He says it like it is and doesn’t bull shit if he doesn’t like who you are or what you’re doing. His art is his way of voicing his opinions about the world and letting out the inspiration he gathers from seeing and skating in new places. A natural born wanderer, Chet loves being on the road and soaking up the new experiences that create the ideas in his head.
While we were in Denver, we had the pleasure of going on a weekend long camping trip with him and a couple of other good friends. We skated some of Colorado’s finest mountain parks and took in the nature around us. We topped it all off by skating a barrier spot on the side of the highway. The yellow caution vests one of our friends left in the van finally got some use. Ten minutes and two clips later, the sherif arrived and questioned our activity.
